Due to privacy
concerns, no personal information about living individuals, other than names, is
posted or shared on any of my databases. The privacy filter of my
genealogy software automatically "privatizes" my files.
Sometimes, I will hear from someone concerned about having their name being listed
in my database. If having your name listed is a concern, please keep in mind that
similar information about you is publicly available when you are listed in newspaper
announcements, such as obituaries, marriage announcements, engagement announcements,
birth announcements, etc. Marriage records are also public records as well as death
records. Birth records of living individuals are not public records in some states.
Please contact me if you have a problem with your name being listed in my files.
My genealogical databases
contains over 80,000 persons. For over 22,000 individuals listed in my database, I
am either directly or distantly related to them or to their spouse. My databases are available
online in two places.
One is on Rootsweb WorldConnect
My
Database on Rootsweb WorldConnect - This version of my database is on
Rootsweb's and Ancestry.com's website. This version of the database is filtered
automatically by Rootsweb and Ancestry.com. They change the names of all living
individuals and simply list them as "living person."
A second database is found on Family Tree Maker (.com)
FamilyTreeMaker.com Database - This version of my database is the most "extensive"
of the two, and will be your preferred search method. The reason is that this version
of my database contains the names of all individuals, including the names of living
individuals and their spouses (but no personal birth dates or other info).
If you find errors that need to
be corrected, please simply e-mail me with the correct information. If you have
information that could be added, you may want to email it to me or visit my "Submit Info" page within this website.
With some exceptions, the database contains most of the information that I have.
Like most people researching their family tree, I have an "endless" stack of
information that has "yet to be entered." Besides transcribing records into my
database, I am constantly adding new information, pictures and updating the files.
