    • 1947 Kaukauna Times dated 6/18/1947; Sallie Ann Bay, Illinois man are w ed at Holy Cross Church - Miss Sally Ann Bay, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edw ard Bay, became the bride of Bernard T. Lill, son of Mrs. Regina Lill of C icero Illinois in a 9:00 ceremony performed by Rev. Andrew Quella Saturd ay morning at Holy Cross Catholic church. During the nuptial mass Miss Cl arine Derus sang Ave Maria, Panis Angelica, On This Day, O Beautiful Mothe r. She was accompanied by Mrs. Paul Nagan and on the organ. As the bri de walked down the aisle on the arm of her father, she wore a gown of whi te satin with long train and a fingertip veil attached to juliet cap. T he something old, something borrowed which she carried was a prayer bo ok owned by Mrs. John Eimmerman. She carried an orchid on the prayer boo k, and wore a strand of pearls, a gift of the groom. The maid of honor w as Ms. Ruth Bay of Chicago, sister of the bride, and the bridesmaids wo rk Miss Bette Hakerman and Mrs. Kenneth Pieritz of Chicago. The junior br idesmaids' was Mary Lou Berens. All the attendants were dressed ali ke in gowns of white faille with caps sleeves and hats of white netting tr immed with colored sequins. They wore white fingerless gloves and carri ed colonial bouquets. Mr. Lill was attended by Walter Bryjak of Chica go as best man. Ushers were Kenneth Pieritz and Bernard Gotowtt of Chicag o. A wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride after the cere mony. Dinner was served to 60 guests at Holy Cross Hall, or reception w as held from 3 to 7:00 for 100 guests. Mr. and Mrs. Lill will live in Chi cago, and have tentative plans for a trip to Canada in July. The bride, w ho was a graduate of Kaukauna high-school, attended the University of Wisc onsin and is a recent graduate of St. Vincent School of Nursing, Chicag o. She has been employed as a nurse at St. Vincent's. Her husband is a g raduate of Elgin High School, Elgin Illinois. He spent three years in t he merchant Marine and held the rank of ensign. He is now a time study en gineer. Out-of-town persons attending the wedding were; Mrs. Regina Li ll of Cicero, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Poppen of St. Charles Ill., Mr. and Mr s. Leonard Schoben, Mrs. Della Kowalski, Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Gill, Mrs. Em ma Gotowtt of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Bay and sons and Mrs. Elisabe th Beran of LaCrosse, Daniel Femal of Madison, Mr. Mrs. John Maher, Mr. a nd Mrs. Lester Van Roy, Bernard Hutton and Riley Solie of Appleton.
