- THE week preceding her wedding has been made eventful for Miss Irene Piepenberg by a round of parties given in her hon- or. Miss Piepenberg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Piepenberg of Combined Locks, will be married to John Verstegen, son of Clarence Verstegen, also of Combined Locks Tuesday.
Miss Piepenberg was feted with a pantry shower Monday, June 20. The shower was given at the home of Mrs. S. Verstegen, whose assist- ing hostess was Mrs. Dan Williams. Entertainment was provided by schafskopf, and prizes were won by Mrs. Jo Stein, Mrs. Henry Kamps Mrs. Clarence Grimmer, and Mrs. Harvey Johnson. Other guests were Mrs. E. Koeppen, Marion, Ohio: Mrs. Frank Polzin and Mrs. Paul Ott, Appleton Mrs. N. Koerwitz, Menasha; Mrs. A. Oudenhoven. Kimberly; Mrs. L Brys and Mrs. Jo Stein. Little Chute; Mrs. Albert Piepenberg, Mrs. Harvey Jansen, Mrs. Karl Piepen- berg, and Mrs. J. DeValk, Com bined Locks. Another shower was given for Miss Piepenberg last Tuesday by Mrs. Karl Piepenberg and Mrs. Karl Schuler. The guests were enter tained at a picnic at the Combined Locks pavilion park.
