  Audrey Virginia Virgin Rueden, 86, Hobart, passed away on December 18. She was born March 22, 1921, in West Allis, WI, to the late Anthony and Anna (Dahlke) Virgin. The family moved to Abrams. She attended West Milwaukee High School while living with her Aunt and Uncle. She graduated in 1939, a year after Liberace (Walter). She then lived with her family in Green Bay. She graduated from Outagamie Teachers College in 1943. She taught at Sunnyside School in Chase, then at High View School in Hobart. She met Bernard Rueden at the Christmas Pageant. They were married the following year on December 27, 1947, at Annunciation Church, Green Bay. She farmed with her husband in Hobart. Over the years she was a homemaker, an election poll worker, school board clerk, Farm Bureau member and a 4-H Leader. She loved kids, cooking and music. She is survived by her sons, Henry, Tony, Leonard, and Bill, Hobart. Her daughter Eileen Rueden and husband Tom VanDeLoo, Forest Junction, their daughter Jolene Rueden, Milwaukee. She is also survived by her grandson Chris Rueden, De Pere. Also surviving are her siblings Pauline Harrogate, Minnesota, Randolph Virgin, California. Her in-laws Joe Callewaert, Lorena Virgin, Sturtevant, Rosemary Rueden, Seymour, Basil and Joan Rueden, Sparky Van Nieuwenhoven, Pulaski and many nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Bernard, 1986, son, Jim, 2004, granddaughter, Jessica, 1998; Her parents Anthony and Anna( Dahlke) Virgin, her in-laws, Henry and Donna (Smudde) Rueden, her siblings Dorothy (Thomas) Young, Cynthia Callewaert, Ken and Evadyne Virgin, Warren Virgin, her in-laws Rem Rueden, Christine (Al) Van Nieuwenhoven, Andrew Rueden, Josephine Swoboda. Special thanks to the staff at Grancare Nursing Home for their love and care of Audrey. Thanks to Dr. Gary Leong and the staff at Bellin of West De Pere. Friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home, 3005 North Tenth Street, De Pere, from 4 to 8 p.m on Friday. Parish Wake Service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue after 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Church, Oneida until time of service.
