  Carl K. Miller died unexpectedly of a heart attack on Friday, October 28, 2005, at age 70. He was born on September 26, 1935 to Kosmas and Caroline (Pritzl) Miller on the home farm in the Town of Maple Grove. He was the youngest of 15 children. He graduated from Brillion High School in 1954 and received an honorable discharge from the National Guard. He married Doris Comins on November 30, 1957 at St. Mary's Church in Brillion and was employed at the Brillion Iron Works for 41 years. He was a member of the Brillion Lions Club and a former member of the Jaycees and the Brillion City Council. He loved his family, his church, and his many wonderful friends. He also enjoyed traveling, playing golf, walking, and was an avid Brillion Lions and Green Bay Packers fan. Carl is survived by his wife Doris, his four children: Denise (James) Jansch of Darboy; Douglas (Janet) Miller of Brookfield; Pamela (Keith) Ott of Plymouth; Mark (Julie) Miller of Darboy; his ten grandchildren: Amber (Josh) Aerts, Ashley Jansch (fiancee Matt Baumler), Nathan and Christie Ott, Andrew, Abby, Amanda and Adam Miller, and Jenessa and Jacob Miller. He is further survived by his brother, Kosmas (Helen) Miller of Janesville; his sisters: Sister Cosmas Miller of Holy Family Convent in Manitowoc; Marion (Bob) Hanagan of Appleton; Gertrude Sadowski of Manitowoc; Catherine (Clayton) Baeten of Kaukauna; brother-in-law, Bill Schuh of Manitowoc; sister-in-law, Agnes Miller of Whitelaw; and by a special friend of the family, Mary Kleuskens of De Pere; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. He is also survived by Doris' brothers: Jerome (Kathleen) Comins of Appleton; Donald (Mary Louise) Comins of Newport, Washington; and sister-in-law, Nancy Gamroth of Milwaukee. He was preceded in death by his parents, and father-in-law and mother-in-law: Stuart and Lucille Comins, brothers and sisters-in-law: Lawrence (Anna) Miller, Norbert (Gertrude) Miller, Vincent Miller, Philip (LaVerne) Miller, his sisters: Caroline (Ray) Lang, Josephine Schuh, sisters and brothers-in-law: Ottilia (Edward) Schuh, Marcella (Alex) Fischer and his brothers-in-law: Simon Sadowski and Lyle Gamroth and an infant sister. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 31, 2005 at Holy Family Parish in Brillion, 1100 W. Ryan Rd., with Father Mathew Simonar officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Brillion. Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion on Sunday, October 30 from 4-8 p.m. and then at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

  Miss Doris Comins Marries Carl Miller In Brillion Miss Doris Comins became the bride of Carl Miller, during a double-ring ceremony, performed at 9 a.m. Saturday, in St Mary's Catholic Church, Brillion. The Rev. Raymond Schauer officiated at the service, uniting in marriage the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Comins, Forest Junction, and the son of Mrs. Caroline Miller, Brillion. For her wedding, the bride wore a white, tissue silk gown, with a molded bodice, a Sabrina neckline, outlined with reembroidered Alencon lace, and long, tapered sleeves. The bouffant skirt, worn over a full hoop, flared from a pointed waistline, to end in a sweep train. A matching band of lace encircled the entire skirt and terminated in a panel at the back of the dress. A silk shell, trimmed with re-embroidered lace and sequins, held her fingertip veil of imported silk illusion. She carried a white lace covered prayerbook with a yellow throated, white orchid, stephanotis and ivy. The matron of honor was Mrs. Clayton Baeten, Kaukauna, a sister of the bridegroom. She appeared in a cocktail-length dress of copper crystalette with a cummerbund and puff bows. Her copper colored headpiece consisted of a pillbox, decorated with pearls and gold sequins. A cascade arrangement of yellow pompons and oak leaves formed her bouquet. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Harland Schuh, a niece of the bridegroom, and Miss Joan Wittmann, both of Rt. 1, Brillion. They were attired in gowns which were identical to the matron of honor's dress. Clayton Baeten, Kaukauna, served as best man, while groomsmen were Harland Schuh, the bridegroom's nephew, and Clarence Bohman, Rt. 1, Brillion. A dinner for immediate relatives was held at the Hi-Wa-To Sky Club. Supper and a reception took place in the evening, at Van Abels, Hollandtown. After a wedding trip to Michigan, the young couple will reside at 326 Miller St., Brillion. Alma mater of the newlyweds is Brillion High School.
