  Julie M. Patterson, age 54, of Sherwood, died on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. She was born June 14, 1959 in Appleton, daughter of the late Patrick & Betty (Wienedt) Deschaine. Julie began working at the age of 14 at Michiels in Sherwood until she graduated from Kaukauna High School. Julie was the 'Queen of Cooking' in Sherwood who had a following of patrons that savored her delicious dishes. She had served as the cook at the Granary Supper Club in Sherwood for 17 years, and later returned to the former Michiels Restaurant, now known as Shenanigans, where she continued to please the palates of customers who entered that restaurant. Julie looked forward to playing dice with people in Shenanigans and loved the time she spent bowling in the Wednesday Night Ladies League. Julie was also great with children and cheerfully helped people out when they needed a trusted babysitter. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her. Survivors include her brother: Patrick (Dawn) Deschaine of Sherwood; a sister: Linda (Dean) VanderHeiden of Sherwood; nieces and nephews: Angela (Eric) Markwald, Christine (Mitchell) Nabbefeld, Summer, Christian & Gabriel VanderHeiden, Donald Deschaine; and a great nephew and 2 great nieces: Hayden Nabbefeld and Jaiden & Jordan Deschaine. Julie was preceded in death by her parents; and 2 brothers: Michael & Dale Deschaine. A time of visitation and sharing will be held at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 13, 2013. Memorials given in the name of Julie M. Patterson are greatly appreciated.
