  MRS. JOHN SCHNEIDER, 82, died on Sunday at the home of her son, Frank Schneider, in the town of Brothertown. Mrs. Schneider had been indisposed for some time, but during the last three months was able to be up and about the house. She had not complained of any illness Saturday and was about as usual. Sunday she was found death in her bed. The funeral took place today from Holy Trinity church, Jericho, Rev. Francis Heimann officiating. Mrs. John Schneider (sic) was born at Luxemburg, Germany, Dec. 6, 1848. At the age of six months she was taken by her parents to this country. The family settled in Port Washington. They later moved to Johnsburg where their daughter was married to John Schneider Sept. 30, 1867. The young couple moved to Stockbridge where they resided until the death of Mr. Schneider. Following that event, Mrs. Schneider moved to the town of Brothertown where she has since lived. Mrs. Schneider is survived by four sons and three daughters, Jacob Schneider of Stockbridge; Joseph Schneider of Marytown; Peter Schneider of Merrill; and Frank Schneider of Brothertown, with whom she lived; Mrs. Peter Heimermann, Appleton; Mrs. Henry Schneider, Stockbridge; and Mrs. Math. Buechel, Chilton. One sister, Mrs. Mollie Horn, Portsmouth, Ia., and a brother, John Schumacher, Chilton, also survive. Among the descendants of Mrs. Schneider are fifty-five grandchildren and forty-six great grandchildren. The following grandsons acted as pallbearers; Jacob Buechel, Victor Schneider, Fred Heimermann, Pius Schneider, Joe Schneider and Jacob Schneider. Chilton Times February 26, 1931
