  daughter? Sophie L. Kussow, 88, Wrightstown, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 9, 2006, at her home. She was born April 8, 1918, in Wisconsin, daughter to the late Herman and Alvina (Rathke) Rohloff. She graduated from Wrightstown High School, and married Willard Kussow May 21, 1940, and he preceded her in death September 30, 1964. Sophie worked at the Lee Store in De Pere for many years after Willard passed away. She was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid Society and Martha Circle. Sophie loved sewing, crocheting, and knitting for her family. She also enjoyed playing cards, cooking, and canning. She truly enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. Survivors include five children: Kenneth (Carol) Kussow, De Pere; Virginia Ehnerd, Greenleaf; Norbert (Elizabeth) Kussow, De Pere; Bonnie Chambers, Madison; and Kathleen (Jim) Martin, Colorado; 23 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Jean Kussow, Green Bay; sister-in-law, Mildred Rohloff, De Pere; and special cousin, Ervin Zittlow. Sophie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Roger; and a brother, Gilmore. Family and friends may call Tuesday, November 14, 2006, from 9 a.m., until the time of funeral service at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Wrightstown. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, at church, with Rev. Ronald Zindler officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. DeWane-Cotter Funeral Home, Wrightstown is assisting the family. The family respectfully requests no flowers. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
