  Monica Anna Francis (Kopidlansky) Geiger, age 85, a resident of Brillion, died unexpectedly on Tues., Feb. 13, 2007, while visiting her brother in Florida. She was born Nov. 28, 1921, daughter of the late Albert and Mary (Radey) Kopidlansky. She married Norbert B. Geiger on Aug. 12, 1942, at St. Patrick Church in Maple Grove. He preceded her in death on Aug. 6, 1966. She farmed in the town of Brillion until 1988. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Brillion, the Christian Mothers, the KP Homemakers, the Catholic Women's Club and also served as president of the Carmelites. Monica loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, attending their many activities. She also enjoyed her many outings with numerous other relatives and friends. Many of her days were spent volunteering at her church. She liked gardening, farming, feeding the birds, playing cards, following her favorite sports teams, red wine and sharing her kolaches. But most of all she loved the Lord. Survivors include her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren: James and Betty Geiger, Cathy (Eric) Pagel, (Ashley and Alex Pagel), Holly (Matthew) Brick, James Geiger II and John Geiger, Sandra and Michael J. She was preceded in death by a son Gerald, a daughter Barbara Schmitz, a granddaughter Hannah Geiger, a great grandson Kean O'Keefe, her mother-in-law and father-in-law Daniel and Ida Geiger, Sr., three sisters; Ann (Ray) Chasensky, Mary (Elmer) Reindl and Catherine Kopidlansky, three brothers; Frank (Marge) Kopidlansky, Albert (Mary) Kopidlansky and Edward (Patricia) Kopidlansky also preceded are three sisters-in-law; Joan Kopidlansky, Ida Juckem and Germaine Brick, a brother-in-law Edward Dvorachek, as well as a god-child, William Brandl. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 19, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion. The Rev. Mathew Simonar will officiate. Burial will be in the Kasson Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion on Sunday, Feb. 18, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again at the church on Monday, from 9 a.m. until the time of mass. Memorial funds have been established in Monica's name.
