  Arthur A. Gerl, 501 N. Clark St., Black Creek Age 76, passed away early Sunday morning at his home. He was born October 10, 1894 in Menoininee, Michigan. He had been a graduate of the Marquette School of Pharmacy and operated a drug store in Black Creek for 17 years until 1935. He then managed drug stores in Milwaukee, Sheboygan, Manitowoc and Oshkosh. Prior to his illness he was employed as a pharmacist at the Outagamie County Hospital. In 1917 he was united in marriage to Miss Theresa Fries in Black Creek. The couple observed their 54th wedding anniversary this past week. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society of Black Creek and the Wisconsin Pharmaceutical Association. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Tom (Jean) Lambie, OpaLocks, Florida; Mrs. Elmer (Audrey) Johnson, Shiocton; Mrs. James (Claudia) Vogel, Menasha; one son, Arthur J. Gerl, Jr., Appleton; 18 grandchildren;11 great - grandchildren; one brother, Alfred, Newaid,Wisconsin; one son and one grandson preceded him in death. Funeral services at 10 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Andrew Linsmeyer officiating at St. Mary Catholic, Black Creek. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Muehl Funeral Home, Black Creek after 4 p.m. Tuesday.
