  VanVonderen, Harold "Harry", Harold "Harry" VanVonderen, 87, Rhinelander, passed away Friday, Feb. 13, 2009. He was born Dec. 23, 1921, to the late Henry and Mary (Vanden Heuvel) Van Vonderen. Harry served in the U.S. Army during World War II, having served in Africa, India, and Burma. He retired as a Stone Mason. He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Virginia (Gene) Westphal, Krakow; Gary Van Vonderen, New Orleans; Rick (Vicky) Van Vonderen, De Pere; Gail (Ron) Schmidt, De Pere; and Clarence (Debbie) Van Vonderen, Antigo; as well as his special friends, Jim and Becky Rottier. He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Fred (Rose) Van Vonderen, Clarence Van Vonderen, Jim (Marion) Van Vonderen; and his nephew, John Van Vonderen. Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere, from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday (TODAY), with the Memorial Service to be held at 6 p.m. with Fr. Tim Shillcox O. Praem., officiating.
