  Brooks, Loretta J., "Betty"Age 80 of Chilton Care Center, formerly of Hilbert, died on Sunday Janua ry 11, 2004 at Calumet Medical Center in Chilton. She was born July 4, 19 23 in the Town of Liberty in Manitowoc County daughter of the late Nichol as & Theresa (Wesling) Backhaus. She married Joseph Diedrich on November 1 2, 1941. He preceded her in death on June 7, 1957. On June 14, 1960 Bet ty married Joseph Brooks. He preceded her in death on July 3, 1998. For ma ny years, Loretta was the owner and operator of Brooks Bar in Forest Junct ion. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hilbert. She is sur vived by her children: Russel (Ruth) Diedrich of Chilton, Barb Luelo ff of Sturgeon Bay; a son-in-law: Tom Hoeft of Kewaunee; 9 grandchildre n: Sue (Pete) Dramm of Manitowoc, Brian (Sara) Diedrich of Chilton, Chr is (Cindy) Diedrich of Marytown, Christine (Richard) Kinjerski of Mishico t, Sandy (Bill) Bosman of Sturgeon Bay, Pat (Sarah) Hoeft of Green Valle y, Debbie (Kurt) Koerner of Dale, Mike Lueloff of Aurora, IL, Lisa Luelo ff of Sturgeon Bay; 9 great grandchildren; & 2 sisters-in-law: Angie He in of Chilton, and Marcella Backhaus of St. Nazianz. Loretta was also prec eded in death by a daughter: Judith Hoeft; 3 sisters: Mary Meyer, Anna Fre wert, Rose Wesling; and 4 brothers: Henry, Frank, Ed, and Joe Backhaus. Fu neral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday January 15, 2004 at St. Mary 's Catholic Church in Hilbert with the Rev. Kenneth Frozena officiating. B urial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Reedsville. Friends may call at t he Wieting Funeral Home (411 W.
