  Orla O. Maves, 94, De Pere, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2008, at a local hospital. She was born January 31, 1914, in the Town of Dale, WI, daughter to the late Ernst and Clara (Neumann) Pribbernow. Orla was baptized at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, Dale, WI, and confirmed her faith there on April 10, 1927. She married Harold Maves on November 15, 1947, in Dale, WI. Together they farmed all their life in Wrightstown, WI, and she was a faithful member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Wrightstown. During the last seven years, Orla made her home with her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Joe Van Dyke, in De Pere. Survivors include her two daughters and one son-in-law: Ruth L. Maves, Appleton, and Carol M. and Joseph Van Dyke, De Pere; four grandchildren: Tara (Jonathan) Nyson, De Pere, and their children, Marcus VanVreede, Amber, Christopher, and Joshua Nyson; Jennifer (Jerry) Verstegen, Little Chute, and their sons, Ryan and Jack; Paul (Lisa) Van Dyke, Little Chute; and Nathan Maves, Appleton; and sister, Verna Doell, Greenville. Orla was so looking forward to loving a new great-grandchild by Paul and Lisa in March. In addition to her parents, Orla was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; one brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Regina Pribbernow; and two brothers-in-law, Eldred Doell and Ervin Maves. Family and friends may call Wednesday, October 22, 2008, from 9 a.m. until the hour of funeral service at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Wrightstown. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at church, with the Rev. Ronald Zindler officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. DeWane-Cotter Funeral Home, Wrightstown, is assisting the family. A memorial fund has been established in Orla's name. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotter funeralhome.com.
