  Norma V. (Pingel) Tennie, 91, Green Bay, formerly of Greenville, died Friday, Nov. 21, 2008. She was born June 1, 1917, in Bowler, Wis., to William and Martha (Kraut) Pingel. On Oct. 24, 1944, she married Victor Tennie at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Appleton. Victor and Norma were the dispatchers of the Greenville Volunteer Fire Department for many years. She was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Greenville, where she was a member of the Christian Mothers Society. She was very active in the Greenville community as a volunteer. From 1945 to 1989, Victor and Norma owned and operated Tennie's Tavern. In her retirement, she kept busy with her family. Norma loved spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her five children, Larry and Bonnie Tennie, Dick and Julie Tennie, Carol and Bob Burtch, John and Lynne Tennie, Pat and Ted Springer; 13 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, six sisters, two brothers, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor; her parents, two grandsons, four brothers and three sisters. Friends may call at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, N2385 Municipal Dr., Greenville, Wis., from noon until 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church with the Rev. Mark P. Vander Steeg officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
