  Joan M. Blair, Appleton, age 79, daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Mangold) Blair, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2013. She was born March 4, 1934 in Freedom. Joan was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church. She is survived by a sister, Bernice Verhoeven, Kaukauna; a brother, Norbert Blair, Kaukauna; two sisters-in-law: Germaine and Arlene Blair; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Loretta VandenBerg and Ruth Diedrich; four brothers: Edward, Jerome, Cletus, and Leo Blair; and three brothers-in-law: Alvin VandenBerg, Vic Diedrich, and Earl Verhoeven. A memorial service for Joan will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at the Community Center of Brewster Village, 3300 W. Brewster St., Appleton. Friends may call on Sunday at Brewster Village from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will be at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Freedom.
