  Lorraine Wankey, Neenah, age 92, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 22, 2009, at Crestwood Senior Living in Neenah. Lorraine was born in Menasha on January 16, 1917, daughter of the late Fred and Esther (Marx) Miller. On March 2, 1968, Lorraine married Lester Wankey who has preceded her in death. Lorraine loved to play bingo and was a generous and giving person. She was also a faithful member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Appleton. Lorraine is survived by a daughter, Shirley (Robert) Baum - Narowetz, Middleton; a son: Gary (Sue) Wankey, Appleton; a grandson, Lester Wankey; a great-grandson, Clayton Wankey; her sister and best friend, Betty Hudson, Menasha; her bingo best friend: John Witkauskas, Sheboygan; and a special friend: Mary DeBruin. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lester, a son Keith Wankey, an infant son Ronnie Wankey, sisters LaVerne (Sigmund) Wogikoski, Marie (Jack) Murphy, Dorothy (Gilbert) Corey, brothers Melvin (Margaret) Miller and Fred Miller, Jr., and a brother-in-law Tom Hudson. At Lorraine's request, a private service for the comfort of the family is being held. The family would like to thank Jennifer and the staff at Crestwood Senior Living (Kilkenny Cottage) for their love and support, as well as Fr. Gerald Falk, and everyone at Heartland Hospice.
