She was ali ve and well on the 1900 census. Also says she had 10 kids/5 alive. Says W m. was born in 1835 which is also on the gravestone, too. Says Henry w as a fisherman, Peter a day laborer and Nic a farm laborer. I'm SURE you' ve got this already, but where did Mary Schons death date come from? Mary Ruppert - no marriage record and the only death record is for a Ma ry Ruppert who died 1/28/1905 at the age of 69 which would put her birthda te as 1839ish. Possible; 1855 Census Belgium lists NICHOLAS SCHONS 3M, 4F, 6FB Possible; 1860 Census Fredonia Possible; Nicolas SCHOUS 46, Maria 48, Kath arina 16, Michael 12, Maria 10, Anna 8 all born in Lux. Peter 5 and Susan na 2 born in Wis.

Pacific Standard Time From: VailCorp Thanks for the information on the Ruppert family.Going through my records I found a reference to Maria RUPPERT, nee SCHONS. The Luxemburger Gazette of February 11, 1908 reports that she died on Janu ary 30, 1908 in Town Belgium (Wisconsin). She was born May 1830 in NEUR IG (Saar, Germany) and immigrated to America in 1852 with her parents a nd siblings. The family lived on a farm in the Dacada area. In June 1860 s he married Wilhelm Ruppert from Oberdonven. They had four sons and one dau ghter.
