  Age 81, died about 1 o'clock Sunday morning, March 28, 1954, after a two week illness at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Clemens Thorpe, New London. He was born on January 28, 1873, in Germany, the son of Mathias & Amelia (Miller) Herminath. He came to America when he was 12 years old. He settled in Shawano county until he moved to New London 45 years ago. He is survived by six daughters, Harvey (Elsie) Bonnin, Clemens (Ruth) Thorpe, George (Bertha) Roloff, all of New London; Abraham (Esther) Young and Clayton (Myrtle)Allender, Shiocton, and Joseph (Flora) Samz, Clintonville; two sons Karl and Harold Herminath, New London; one brother, Otto Herminath, Shiocton; 28 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Anna (Alft) Herminath, two sons, Louis Herminath and John Herminath, a daughter, Emilia Herminath, two sisters, Martha Grenz and Anna Schoening. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Cline-Learman-Hanson Funeral Home with the Rev. W.E. Pankow, pastor of the Emanuel Lutheran Church in charge.
