  Biography	Johann is the son of Jochim Christoph Pingel and Catharina Margaretha Zachow. He came to America on the ship "Conrad Heinrich" in 1851 and settled in the Buffalo area of New York before settling in section 28, Greenville Twp. He died while building his house. He had lost an eye while in the German Army. Johann was twice married to sisters and the daughters of Johann Jochim Jacob Zachow and Hanna Maria Sophia Pingel. Hanna Maria Dorothea Zachow-28 Feb 1802-m.21 Apr 1826-d.28 Mar 1842 and the mother of seven children, all born in Domsuhl, Mechlenburg, Germany:
