  Charles E. Sonnleitner, 64, went fishing with the Lord on Monday, May 9, 2011. He was born in Appleton, June 4, 1946, a son of the late Edward and Hazel (Nehring) Sonnleitner. Charles was proud and humble that he served his country in the U.S. Army, during the Vietnam War, and was the recipient of many medals. Prior to retirement, he was employed at the Paper Valley Hotel, where he enjoyed the people he worked with and the jobs he performed. Charles and his father were members of the South Side Athletic Club. Charles is survived by a daughter, Nicole; three grand children; his life partner, Jeanne; and many more friends and family members. In keeping with Charles' wishes, no formal services will be held. Any condolences may be sent to the Wichmann Funeral Home. As Charles would've said, "those who knew me, knew me well; those who didn't can go to hell".
