John's sister Mary Ha naway Cummings was my great grandmother. Mary, her husband Michael Cummin gs, and their ten childen lived in Marinette, WI. I have been in touch wi th a Tom Hanaway and an Alec MOnroe, both of whom are descendents of eith er John or Patrick--I would need to go back and check my files.Several years ago I visited Creggan, Co. Armagh, Ireland, where our Hanawa ys are from. I didn't find very much--I talked with several Hanaways th ere, but they don't go back beyond their grandparents and I didn't find a ny parish rec ords. I was told that all the Hanaway lived in a place call ed Slieve Gullian. I have a lot of pictures of that place. I too am looking for pictures--alove all, I would love to have a pictu re of my great-grandmother, Mary. She didn't die until 1924, at the a ge of 94. There MUST have been pictures, but everyone I have asked clai ms to know nothing about any. I have a large group picture se nt to me by Alec Monroe--taken I believe sometime in the 1940's and someon e's wedding. Lots of Hanawways and almost all of them labeled. Now I ju st have to find it.
