      Dear Jay,

In my former mail, see below, I mentioned my doubts about parts of the information. I was able to check now this information and I send you the updated and confirmed information about my great-great uncle Johannes Lambertus Thielemans (ID: I174266). I include a copy from the Dutch census 1850 where the emigration of this family to the US is mentioned. If you have additional questions I would be happy to answer them.

I also include data from the Dutch census 1840 of the family of Henricus Tielemans (ID: I3116) on your website. I have the birth dates of all the children mentioned. Three of them (Antonetta, Johanna, Johanna Maria) are missing on your website. You can find them in the list behind this link.
      https://www.bhic.nl/memorix/genealogy/search?serviceUrl=%2Fgenealogie%2Fq%2Fpersoon_achternaam_t_0%2Ftielemans%2Fq%2Fpersoon_rol_s_0%2F0%2Fq%2Fpersoon_achternaam_t_1%2Fgroot%2Fq%2Fpersoon_rol_s_1%2F0%2Fq%2Fzoekwijze%2Fp%2Fq%2Fplaats_all_t%2FBoekel%3Ftemplate%3Dxhtml%26apikey%3D0ea60280-55ad-11e2-bcfd-0800200c9a66%26form%3Dpersonen%26zoeken%3DStart%2Bzoeken%26sort%3Ddatum_i%26direction%3Dasc

I am still working on the information of Johannes Tielemans who came on the Libra.

      Dear Jay,

Thank you very much for this interesting information. I compliment you for the website on the inhabitants of fox river valley.
      Very impressive.

As I wrote I'm interested in the emigration history of a small neighbourhood in my birthplace Boekel (and I hope my story will give
some impetus to studies on other neighbourhoods or villages).
I received a lot of information from Willem Keeris and Willem Rovers from Uden who have been working for many years on the history of
catholic emigrants from the Dutch provinces of (North-East) Brabant and Limburg. They visit the village of Little Chute almost every
      summer. Maybe you know them?

Attached you find two .doc files with the same titles as your pdf files with my information on Johannes Tielemans born in 1797 in Erp
who came with the Tuskina (he is from a branch of my family tree) and Johannes Tillemans born about 1820 who came with the
Libra. I'll resend the files with updates and links when the links of the census website work again.
Genlias became wiewaswie and it is this site that needs refreshment of the links because BHIC has a new site. I make use of the
BHIC site a lot which is specialised in ancestors from the province of Noord Brabant: www.bhic.nl

I belong to this family tree of Tielemans.
      http://stamboom-erp.nl/pub/download/1/1/147/Tielemans.htm
1.2.2.5.11.4.1.2 Johanna Maria Tielemans is my grandmother.

I'm updating now the information so that Johannes Tielemans, emigrant to Wisconsin, gets attached. My problem is Frank Tillman. In theory
he can be a son of all the Tillman families but I only noticed two sons with the name Frank and born between 1840 and 1850.
I'm not sure whether the man whose biography is in the foxvalleymemory file, is a son of Henricus Tielemans or from Johannes Tielemans
from my family tree. I'm sorting out that information now. However based on the biography I believe he is the youngest son of Johannes
Tielemans. Arguments in favor of this hypothesis: the first names of his parents and his position as the youngest of 4 children, the name of his
son Albert (named after his grandfather). However many details are incorrect: birth date, immigration in 1848, his father died 15 years
after 1848/1850 (8 years presumably) and his mother 3 years thereafter (5 years presumably).

The main character of my story is Roelof Donkers (b 14-5-1824). He came to the USA in 1853 with his wife, daughter, brother and brother in law. His brother in law became a partner of Lefebrve and Wyngaard. Another brother in law (who came in 1851), whose biography is also in the foxvalleymemory file, is called Martinus van de Wijngaard. The story of Roelof shows quite some motives why people came to the USA.
I couldn't find his family on your website. Is there a reason for that? I attach a document with some information on these people.

      Best regards, Martha van Eerdt

Martha Find attached are 3 reports on the 3 John Tillemans (I wont write here all the possible variations on spellings or misspellings)

The reports show most of the info but not all and there may be other clues available on the web site.

I see you quoted info from the LITTLECHUTE file,,, please be careful in using that info, as not all of it has actually been researched.

In many cases some parents eager to help their children complete the school tasks, rushed to assume that persons belonged with a family.

Paul West has researched his own linage and some of the families.

And my own large database is also data sent by other persons to me, that I have not personally researched,
but then again, they were not trying to help fill in blanks on a homework assignment with a deadline and just assume certain things.
On my site I like to use some documentation for every event when possible, so anything you can add would be very helpful in straightening everyone out.
I have not even tried to add any dutch records since GenLias changed a few years ago, as the new system wasnt as easy, and I have more than enough to do here.

Let me know what else you find, as you will see, I do not have much on your family
(and let me know how to connect you to them, names and dates of your parents, grandparents ,etc)
      Thanks Jay

      Dear Jay,
      Thanks for answering my comment/question.
I know now that my note on Frank Tillmans might be misleading. I don't know whether there is some truth in it. I'm sorry.
You are definitely right about the confusion around Tielemans/Tillman. There is a Frank Tillman mentioned in the census of 1860 in the town of Holland, but his age doesn't fit with Frank Tillman who is the youngest of four and a son of Johannes Tielemans (as mentioned in the biography I sent with my former mail) and who was born 30-09-1846 in Boekel. Neither do the names and ages of the other family members. They belong, I believe now, to the family of Hendricus Tielemans and Catharina de Groot. Another Tielemans who came to the USA, also in 1850. He is also from my village of birth Boekel, but he is not related to the other two Tielemans.
In the emigrant database from the Netherlands they are called Gielemans (which is a mistake):
      http://www.gahetna.nl/collectie/index/nt00254/view/NT00254_persoon/q/zoekterm/gielemans/q/comments/1/page_size/50

There is also a Frank Tillman who is a son of Johannes Tielemans. He is born 30-09-1846 in Boekel. This is all confusing and I need time to do some checking. Maybe you can help me with information where I can find the US censusdata of 1850 and 1860 that tell me where these 3 or 4 (see below) Tielemans families from Boekel lived.

I will start checking the Dutch information. However at the moment an update of the census archive links (at BHIC) is going on. I have to wait untill that is fixed.

However there is definitely more than one John Tillman or Johannes Tielemans. For now, I'm quite confident about the following Dutch information. John Tillman (born 1821 (supposedly) from the Libra came with his fiance
Johanna Maria van Lieshout (born 1819) which he married in Little Chute (living in 1860 in Kaukauna, see below for dates).

John Tillman (born 1797) from the Tuskina came with his wife Maria van der Burgt (born 1808) and their 2 daughters (Maria and Geertrui) and two sons (Lambertus (Albert) and Frances (Frank).
This John Tillman is in my familytree, in a side branch. I found on the internet that he died in 1858 in Little Chute. So he is not in the 1860 census and maybe in the 1850 census. A neighbour of him in Boekel who also came on the Tuskina is in the 1850 census.

I work on a paper about emigrants from a specific neighbourhood in Boekel where I was born and where the John Tillman from my family tree also lived with his wife. It is interesting to see that from almost every family in that neighbourhood there was a son, daughter, maid or labourer who left for the USA. Two families left as a whole.
There is a third John Tillman (born 1820) who lived as reported on the internet in Freetown. His wife (Antonette Siermans) is reported to be also from my village Boekel.
      Best regards, Martha van Eerdt
