  Kaukauna, Carl A. Van Asten, a ge 69, passed away Thursday morning, January 8th, 1998, at St. Elizabet hs hospital. Carl was born on November 14th, 1928, in Little Chute, a s on of the late Henry and Catherine (Verhagen) VanAsten. He was a lifelo ng resident of the town of a VandenBroek where he farmed all his lif e. He also worked for Kimberly Clark and Repap for 45 years. He is survi ved by his wife of 47 years, Donna M. (Roberts) VanAsten, of Kaukauna, h is sons, Jeffrey (Diane) VanAsten, of Kaukauna; Randall (Jan) VanAste n, of Kaukauna, Thomas (Sue) VanAsten, Kaukauna; Stephen VanAsten, of Kauk auna; Scott (Shari) VanAsten, of Kaukauna; Charles (Lisa) VanAsten, of Kau kauna; a daughter Kim Dennis, of Kaukauna; 12 grandchildren, Jesse, Juli e, and Lisa VanAsten; Amy, Jill, and Matt VanAsten; Jenny and Chris VanAst en, Samantha, John Carl, and Stephanie Dennis, and Joshua Jansen; three br others; Floyd (Irene) VanAsten, of Little Chute; Arthur (Jan) VanAste n, of Wild Rose; Eugene (Marge) VanAsten, of Little Chute; five sisters: M illie (and the late Robert) Bachman, of Kaukauna; Lillian (Edward) VanHeuk lon, of Little Chute; Marion (and the late Lawrence) Dufrane, of Little C hute; Marjorie (Edward) Belongea, of Kimberly; Carol (Eugene) Diedric k, of Combined Locks; four brothers in law: Gerald Roberts, of Pelican Lak e; Lawrence (Donna) Roberts, of Appleton; Thomas (Laurie) Roberts, of Litt le Chute; David Roberts, of Tomah. He is further survived by a sist er in law, Pat VanAsten, of Kaukauna; and a brother in law, Don Roehrbor n. Carl is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and other rel atives and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his siblings Ro bert VanAsten, Rita VanAsten and Ila Roehrborn, mother and father in law W alter and Anne (Strelke) Roberts; and a brother in law, Michael Robert s. Carl enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing and especially being outdoors w ith his wife Donna and family. Funeral services will be held at St. John 's Catholic Church in Little Chute on Saturday January 10th, 1998 at 11: 00 a.m..
