  See Image John Edward Cox died la te Sunday afternoon at a Stockton nursing home where he had been stayin g. Born May 10, 1882 in Nebraska, he was the son of Patrick E. and Mary Co x. He married the former Helen Kaste. He was employed here by the Illino is Central Railroad and the Stover Manufacturing Co. He moved to Oma ha in 1942 and returned to Freeport in 1957 after the death of his wife. S urvivors include three sisters, Mrs. A.C. Murphy, Freeport; Mrs. Hugh Klec kner, Aurora and Mrs Miles Doran, Beloit; and a brother, W.P. Cox, Weste rn Springs, Ill.He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Funeral services wi ll be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Scwartz Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at S t. Mary's Church. Page 64 COX, John 1882 - 1961 bur. Feb. 16, 1961
