  Porter, Frederick, Chula Vista, California, Age 78, died on Friday, January 31, 2003. He was born in Kimberly on April 3, 1924. At the age of 18, after graduating from Kimberly High School, he left to join the navy from 1943 until his retirement in 1973. He served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He was widowed without any children. He then worked for Mar Vista High School, Imperial Beach as a custodian. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve. He is survived by one sister, Barbara Porter, Appleton; a brother, James Porter, Sunnyvale, California. The funeral mass was held on Wednesday, February 5, 2003 in Chula Vista, California.
