  Mrs. John Van Roy, 81, of 417 Riverview Drive, Manitowoc, died shortly before noon Tuesday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where she had been confined since March. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 10 a.m at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc, with the Rev. Pierre Van Groll, a nephew of the deceased, celebrant of the solemn requiem high Mass. The Rev. Clement Kern will be deacon and the Rev. Richard Heymen, sub-deacon. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc. Mrs. Van Roy was born Christine Jansen Oct. 18, 1879, in Germany, daughter of the late Bernhard and Sophie Graeven Jansen. She came to Manitowoc as a child with her parents and has lived here since. She was married to John Van Roy July 5, 1910, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. For many years she was employed at Joseph Staehle Book Store, Manitowoc. She was a member and past president of the Christian Mothers Society of St. Paul parish. Survivors include her husband; two brothers, Jack and Gerald of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Henry Van Groll of Manitowoc and nieces and nephews.
