  Verona L. Boettcher, age 91, of Chilton, died on November 14, 2007, at the Chilton Care Center in Chilton. She was born June 9, 1916, in the Town of Rantoul daughter of the late Hermann and Minnie (Goldschmidt) Luedtke. She married Arthur Boettcher on October 19, 1935, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rantoul. Verona farmed in the Town of Chilton and was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church and a charter member of the Ladies Aid. Her husband preceded her in death on January 23, 1981. Verona is survived by her children: Wyman (Jeanette) Boettcher, Crivitz; Shirley Bartel, Chilton; Arlene (Lyle) Roehrig, Valders; 10 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law: Arvie (Myra) Boettcher, Chilton; Elroy (Virginia) Boettcher, Brillion; sister-in-law, Alma Schweitzer; and many nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law Gordy Bartel and two great-grandchildren Ethan Roehrig and Isaac Vanden Heuvel. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 17, 2007, at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Chilton with the Rev. Wayne Huebner officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.
