  Van Heurck, Cornelius Martin Peter Cornelius Martin Peter Van Heurck, son of Cornelius Van Heurck and Mary Ver Hagen of Wisconsin, died on Friday June 23, 2006, at 96. He is survived by his daughter, Jan Van Heurck, and son, Philip A.Van Heurck, as well as step daughters, Elizabeth Hix, Margaret Joan Davis and Jean Marie Dahl. After traveling across the U.S.A. on a Harley-Davidson in the 1930s, he received a civil engineering degree from UWMadison and spent the remaining depression years in Chicago. He served as a master sergeant in the army in World War II in military intelligence and received the Asiatic Pacific Good Conduct Medal. After the war, he worked for the City of Chicago Water Department. He will be sorely missed by the many people with whom he shared his love of Art, Literature and History; his intellect, his philosophy, and his zest for life.
