Buried St. John Cemetery, Gillette, Wisconsin. Have co py of death cert. believe info in error as to father, mother listed unknow n. Thanks Ellen Hi Jay, Kathryn Sauter married John Frank Schwalbach. She as I stated w as buried in Gillette. He died September 15, 1909 in Appleton Wisconsin a nd is buried at St. Joseph's cemetery in Appleton.Their son Carl Frank married Mary Finnegan (from Gillette), Carl Frank a nd Mary Finnegan are my husbands grand parents. Both are buried in St John 's Cemetery in Gillette Wisconsin. (Carl) Frank was born in Darboy, Octob er 18, 1880, married Mary Finnegan July 7, 1909, Gesu, Milwaukee, Wiscons in. (Carl) Frank died November 9, 1948. Mary died November 10, 1974. (S he was born August 31, 1883. Gillette) Their children (all but one) are l iving so would appreciate this info not being listed on your ancestry tr ee as remember I'm an in-law.Through my mother in laws stories I believe to have found in census recor ds and a specific posting History of Outagamie County, Wisconsin. Pub. 191 1. page 641 Mattias Schmidt the correct parents of Kathryn Sauter but w as looking for confirmation. This article on Matthias Schmidt stated th at his wife was Mary Sauter daughter of Antone and Katherine Sauter. Matth ias Schmidt own a men's apparel shop. My mother in law has stated that h er grandmother was Kathryn Sauter(no further notes) and that her grandmot hers sister married a Matt Schmidt who owned an apparel shop in Appleto n. (Kathryn's death certificate states Val Sauter as her father, unkno wn mother) The census records all had Antone and Catherine as parents. The re were no other close Sauters at the time in Wisconsin. With the info that I have gotten from a John Wilz(he I believe is connect ed through Charles Sauter, a brother of Kathryn Sauter Schwalbach) John W ilz did not site his information, and I didn't ask(I had put the line asi de for awhile and just started back on it when I surfed into you ancest ry tree). Might be a line that I need to follow.John's information states that Catherine Emmers b. 1821 Prussia was the mo ther of these Sauters and was married to Antone Sauter. He also has that J ohn did marry Louisa. and Louisa was the daughter of Valentine and Magdele na. But again I have not researched this.Other siblings of John, Kathryn, Mary, and Charles were Peter and Josep h. Again have no confirmation other than census records.Do you have any notes that might help me find another confirmation for Kat hryn Sauter's parents?I have the Schwalbach line, not cited, it was researched by Father Edmu nd Schreiber(an adopted son of Magdelena Schwalbach Neuman Schreiber, s he is a Daughter of John Frank and Katherine Sauter) Father Edmund recent ly died in Milwaukee.Would appreciate any help you can provide.
