  Herman Joseph Grissman, age 80, Eland, town of Elderon, died Saturday, June 2, 1990 at Continental Manor Nursing Home, Abbotsford. He was born November 13, 1909 in Kaukauna, the son of the late Ambrose and Catherine (Verkuilen) Grissman. On June 24, 1936 Herman was united in marriage to Adala Spranger in Wittenberg. She preceded him in death on July 25, 1989. Survivors include one son, Robert (Marcia) Grissman, Medford; two daughters, Nathalie (Darrell) Means, Tucson, AR and Betty (Richard) Fischer, Merrill, WI; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Edward Grissman and John Grissman, both of Kaukauna and Arthur Grissman, Kansas City, MO; four sisters, Francis Portman, Fronie VanToll, Mary Van Stepot, all of Kaukauna and Catherine Jartjes, Combined Locks, WI. In addition to his parents and wife, Herman was preceded in death by one infant son, Herman, Jr. and one sister, Doris. Funeral services were held June 5, 1990 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Wittenberg. The Rev. Claude Zabinski, OFM officiated. Interment was in the parish cemetery.
