  Duane "Bud" Mueller Age 75 of Kaukauna died on Monday, March 24, 2014 with his family at his side at Cherry Meadows in Appleton. He fought a courageous seven year battle with cancer. Duane loved woodworking and especially making canes from the corkscrew willow trees in his backyard. He was employed at Thilmany Paper Mill for 39 years until his retirement in 1999. He loved all the good times spent with the grandkids at the cottage in Townsend and looked forward to the winter months in Florida. He always looked forward to his morning visits at the Coffee Shop to be with his buddies. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years: Nancy; two sons: Mike (Kelly) of Greenville and Dave (Kim) of Darboy; 5 grandchildren: Mike, Brianna, Aaron, Branden, and Hunter; one brother: Harold (Cathy) of DePere; one niece, one nephew, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Bill, in 2006. The family would like to extend a special thank to to Dr. Paul Russo, Dr. Yao, the entire staff at the Martha Siekman Cancer Center, and all the nurses on 7th floor at Appleton Medical Center.
