  James C. "Jim" Howard, age 63, of Clinton, died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007 at his home. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Clinton Church of Christ, the Rev. Ken Greeley officiating. Visitation will be held Friday 4-8 p.m. at the Pape Funeral Home and Saturday 1:00 p.m. until the service hour at the church. Burial will be at St. Irenaeus Cemetery in Clinton. Casket bearers will be his son, Charles Howard, three brothers, Dennis, Eugene, and Richard Howard, son-in-law, Johns Dawson, and his best friend, Harold Nelson. Memorials may be given to the Wycliffe Associates, Bible Translators. Jim was born on April 20, 1943 in Manitowoc, WI, the son of Floyd and Viola (Weinke) Howard. He married Dona Fullbright on Aug. 27, 1967 in Huron, SD. Jim worked for the former Eagle Foods Market (7th Ave. South) for over 20 years as a stock clerk, where he retired. He was a member of the Clinton Church of Christ. He enjoyed working on cars, where in his younger years he would drag race his car in Cordova. Jim is survived by his wife, Dona Howard of Clinton; son, Charles L. Howard of Santa Rosa, CA; daughter, Mrs. Laura M. (John) Dawson of Clinton; two grandchildren, Stephanie and Timothy; his mother, Viola Howard of Neenah, WI; three brothers, Dennis (Susan) Howard of Neenah, WI; Eugene Howard of New London, WI; and Richard (Anita) Howard of Neenah, WI; and a sister, Jane Steward of Neenah, WI; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Jr., and a sister, Janet.
