  Keith C. Brown, age 85, of Chilton, died on Monday, May 25, 2009, at the Chilton Care Center in Chilton. He was born October 28, 1923, in Gravesville, son of the late Vernon & Maude (Iggulden) Brown. Keith served his country in the United States Army from 1943 until 1945. During his time in the Army, he served during WWII throughout the European Theatre, including the Battle of the Bulge. Following his discharge he married the love of his life, Betty Mae Ninedorf, on October 11, 1947, in Chilton. During his life he worked for the Carnation Company for over 20 years, Chilton Manufacturing, and the Foley Company where he was able to fulfill one of his lifelong dreams of being the 'Man Who Came Around'. He also worked in several part-time positions at such places as Hipke Drug Store and Kaytee Products. He was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church in Chilton, the Circus Fans of America, and the Wisconsin Speleological Society. Keith had many hobbies; he grew a variety of flowers in his yard, enjoyed woodworking, and constantly had a camera in his hand. He was also very instrumental in getting the caves opened at Ledgeview Nature Center. Survivors include his wife of over 61 years: Betty; four children: David (Belinda) Brown, Chilton; Wendy (Bob) Schommer, Forest Junction; Kathy Schroeder and Steve Waskow, Brillion; Shari Techlin, Neenah; 12 grandchildren: Alan, Carrie, Evan, Erin, Keli, Holly, Amber, Jordan, Christopher, Joshua, Elizabeth, and Nathaniel; and eight great-grandchildren: Ariel, Macquel, Zen, Siena, Hayley, Hannah, with two more expected in June. He was preceded in death by his parents; a great-grandchild, Kirsten; and a brother: Earl Brown. Funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2009, at St. Martin Lutheran Church (717 Memorial Dr.) in Chilton with the Rev. Wayne Huebner officiating. A time of visiting will be held immediately following the funeral service. The family would like to thank the staff members of the Calumet Medical Center and St. Elizabeth Hospital, the staff of the Chilton Care Center, and the Affinity Visiting Nurses Hospice staff, especially Rachael & Gail, for all of the loving care you provided to Keith during this difficult transition.
