  Helen Grittner, age 78, of Chilton, died on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at the Calumet Medical Center in Chilton. She was born August 6, 1935 in Chilton, daughter of the late Carl & Anna (Peter) Grittner. Helen had worked at Wolff's Federated Store in Chilton and later worked at the Calumet Medical Center until her retirement in 2000. She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Chilton where she volunteered time with their Bereavement Ministry, and also counted money for the church with her sisters. She had also been a former member of the Daughters of Isabella. In her free time, Helen enjoyed traveling and belonged to bowling leagues in the area. She also looked forward to spending time with her family, especially her sisters who also happened to be some of her best friends. She is survived by her sisters: Florence Moehn, Rose Peter; and her niece and nephews: Ken (Sue Mueller) Moehn, Steve (Trish) Moehn, Linda (Larry) Engel, Bob (Patty) Moehn. She is further survived by great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; and 2 brothers-in-law: Clifford Moehn and Ralph Peter. Funeral service will be at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (54 E. Main St.) in Chilton with the Rev. Larry Abler O.F.M. Cap. officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 am until 11:45 am on Saturday, August 17, 2013. Online Condolences wietingfuneralhome.com.
