  MRS. BRASS, 76 YEARS IN COUNTY, ANSWERS THE CALL Mrs. Fredericka Brass, aged 80 years, passed away at her home in the town of Herman Monday at 12 o'clock after a lingering illness. Mrs. Brass was born in Germany, April 11, 1843, and came to this country when four years of age. Through her long residence in the town of Herman, she gained many friends, who deeply mourn her demise. Mr. Brass died several years ago. Nine children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Brass, two of whom preceded the mother in death. The following children survive; Mrs. William Bascher, this city; Mrs. Bertha Meyer, Cleveland, Mrs. Hahn and Otto Brass, of Seymour; Cornelius and Herman Brass of Haven, and Gustave Brass, of Colfax, Washington. Funeral services will be Friday afternoon from the late home in the town of Herman. Rev. Mohme of St. John Evangelical church will conduct the services, and burial will be made in the church cemetery.
