  New London - Age 84 of Royalton, went to the arms of the Heavenly Lord on Friday, August 24, 2018. Dorothy was born on July 21, 1934 to the late Winfield and Lillian (Watson) Spoehr. On October 18, 1950 she married Helerian Balthazor. He preceded her in death in 2010. Dorothy worked numerous jobs in the New London area. Dorothy was the loving mother of Helen Wilson, Mike (Barb) Balthazor, Margaret Douglas, Diana Warren (special friend Tex) and James Balthazor; loving grandmother to numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sister to Maxine, LeRoy, Walter, Donald and Daniel. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Jerome; step-mother, Ruby; brothers, Bob, August, Wesley and Richard; sisters, Donna and Deloris; grandson, Jerome and great-grandson, Ashton. The funeral service for Dorothy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 31, 2018 at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London. Pastor Pamela Ritchie will be officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Hobart Cemetery, Town of Royalton. Mom's home for the past 6 years was St. Joseph Residence. Thank you to the staff there for all their loving care and compassion given to mom.
