  Mrs. Mary M. Keelan, age 75 died at her home in Sniderville on Friday Aug. 11, 1885. She was born in Ireland and with her husband and 5 children immigrated to Canada in 1842. A few years later her husband passed away and she was left with 6 children. In 1865 they moved to Kaukauna and purchased what is now known as "the old Keelan homestead" A strong woman having been a widow the last 33 years. She is survived by 6 children. Messrs Peter, Jos., Michael, and Barney, Mrs Goe Garrity Jr. and Mrs John Hoolihan. Funeral held at the Catholic church in Sniderville and was largely attended as there were over 100 vehicles in the procession.
