  FORMER MCMINNVILLE RESIDENT SUCCUMBS AT YAMHILL HOME Death came Wednesday at Yamhill to Cornelius William Hermens, 78, who had lived in Oregon since 1893. Hermens, a former McMinnville resident, had been living at Yamhill recently. Born in Wisconsin on Apr. 25, 1867, he married Jane Joosten at Forest Grove on Nov. 30, 1889. His parents were Natalia and William Hermens. Funeral services were read by Father Maken today (Thursday) at 10 o'clock at St. James Catholic church, with interment following at St. James cemetery. Survivors include four sons, Martin, Joseph and Frank of Yamhill and Edward of San Francisco; four daughters, Mrs. Cathrine Evers of Dayton, Mrs. Margaret Bernards of Yamhill, Mrs. Anna Bride of McMinnville and Mrs. Jenette Kelly at Idaho; and two sisters, Elizabeth and Minnie Van Dehey. Mrs. Hermens died on Oct. 16, 1940. The Telephone Register, McMinnville, Oregon, Thursday, April 11, 1946 Son of William and Catherine Natalie Muellemans. Husband of Jennie "Jane" Joosten Hermens.
