There are 2 places in Germany, where Halbac hs came from. the first is the region east of Duesseldorf (30 k m) or 50 km north east of Cologne. The 2nd region is the Eifel region. we st of Koblenz at the Rhine river. I'm collectin all dates, but have not fo und until now a connection between both parts of the Halbach family. All H albachs all over the world are coming from one of both twigs. There were s ome people from the Eifelregion emigrating around the 1840th: there were J ohn (William) and John Joseph from Lind / Eifel region, there was John fr om Wehr / Eifel region, they settled mostly in Wisconsin, and there was Ar nold from Solingen-Loehdorf (our region) that family settles in St. Loui s, MO region. We could connect the Waterford Halbachs and the La Crosse Ha lbachs, their ancestors were the brothers John William and John Josep h. We also have some people emigrated who have their ancestors in one of o ur lines here. I have about 58.000 people connected to one of these line s.
