  William J. Rogers, of Kaukauna, age 74, died Tuesday, November 8, 2005, at his home after an extended holiday in Europe. He was born December 9, 1930, to the late Claude and Lucille (Reichel) Rogers. Bill served his country in the Korean War and was a State Representative from 1962 to 1984. Some of his accomplishments that are still appreciated today include: the 1000 Islands Conservancy, the Golden Venture Home for the elderly and budgeting for Highway 441-twenty years before it was paved. Bill spent his retirement traveling the world and researching family history. He was a poet and a dreamer. He is survived by his ten children and their mother Kay J. (Ludke) Rogers; Michael F. Rogers and his son Garrett; Steven C. (Jennifer) Rogers and their children Chase, Hunter and Julia; Patrick W. (Mona Pepin) Rogers and his children Travis and Dylan; Laurie L. Rogers and her son Max Ferris; Kevin B. (Nicole) Rogers and their daughter Sydney; Amy A. (Doug) Frederickson and their children Kyle and Alyx; Scott G. (Lisa) Rogers and their children Nicholas and Emma; Corey J. Rogers (Travis Dorn); Heather L. Rogers and Holly L. Rogers; also two great-grandchildren, Tasha Rogers and Kyle Rogers; his sister, Donna (Roland) Huss. Bill is further survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and acquaintances. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Patricia (Rogers) Fetzner, and friend Bea Falize. Bill's Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2005, at ST. MARY of the ANNUNCIATION CATHOLIC CHURCH with MSGR. Mark Schommer officiating. Friends will be received on Saturday at Church from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Full Military Burial Rites will be performed at Church by VFW Post 3319. A memorial is being established in his name at the 1000 Island Conservancy. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna is assisting the Rogers family. 766-2099. The Rogers family extends a special Thank You to the Huss and Fetzner families.
