Viola M. Harder, age 83, passed away on Monday, December 30, 1996 at the Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center in Menasha. She was born June 25, 1913 in the Town of Lawrence, daughter of the late Henry and Catherine (Gerrits) Fink. She married Reinhard Harder on November 8, 1930 in Waukegan, Illinois. She worked at L.M Becker in Brillion for several years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion. Viola is survived by her husband, Reinhard; a daughter, Audrey Harder, Milwaukee; a son, Donald "Pat" Harder, Menasha; two sisters; Regina Brooks, Appleton; Lorraine McGregor, Racine; three brothers and a sister-in-law; Clem and Katie Fink, Cambria; Robert Fink, Chippewa Falls; Kenneth Fink, Alabama. Viola is further survived by her in laws; Frederick and Marcella Harder, Hilbert; Gerhard Harder, San Antonio, Texas; and Lorene Harder, Manitowoc. She was preceded in death by three sister; Genevieve, Ruth, Norraine, and two brother; Clarence and Norbert. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 3, 1997 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion with the Rev. Ross Henzi officiating. Burial will be at St. Luke Cemetery, Chilton. Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service. The family would like to especially thank the nurses and staff of Oakridge Gardens for their loving care they gave to Viola.
