  Helen Marie Lenz, 88, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010, at the Appleton Health Care Center. Helen was born Jan. 29, 1922, in Appleton, the daughter of the late William and Helen (Day) Schultz. She was united in marriage to Nicholas West and he preceded her in death in 1973. Helen then married James Lenz and he also preceded her in death in 1976. Helen was a long time member of St. Pius X Catholic Church of Appleton. She was a season ticket holder and a avid fan of the Green Bay Packers. Helen enjoyed vacations with her children, gardening, ceramics, feeding the wild song birds but mostly a good game of golf. Helen also was a demo worker for Cub foods. She is lovingly survived by her three children, Jannette Mignon, Appleton; William (Terri) West, Appleton; Maryhelen (Kenneth) Walbrun, Menasha; 13 grandchildren, John (Cate) Mignon, Jane (Rollie) Hansen, Jim (Laurie) Mignon, Jodi Mignon, Shelley (Peter) Freund, Kelley (Jeff) Stadler, Christine (Randall) Miesner, Julie (Richard) Cornette, Gerald "Tim" (Tammy) Fink, Ann (John) Faucher, Elaine (Pat) Epps, John Michael West and Steven West; 23 great-grandchildren; a sister, Elaine (Warren) Smith; and by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Helen was preceded in death by two sons, John West and Thomas Richard West; a son-in-law, Jack Mignon; and two brothers, Robert and Earl. A memorial mass will be held 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, from St. Pius X Catholic Church, 500 W. Marquette St., Appleton with the Rev. Thomas J. Farrell officiating. Inurnment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Appleton. Helen's family will receive relatives and friends at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service.
