  Merzetha "Mert" Haen (nee Nytes) Hollandtown -Age 82, died peacefully Tuesday, April 10, 2001, at her home. Funeral serv ices will be held 11 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2001, at St. Francis Cathol ic Church, Hollandtown, with Fr. Jim Lucas officiating. Burial in the pari sh cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 200 1, at the Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukaun a, and after 9 a.m. Monday directly at the church until the time of servic es. There will be a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. In li eu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name. A comple te obituary will appear in Friday's paper. Appleton Post Crescent April 13, 2001 Merzetha "Mert" Haen (nee Nytes) Hollandtown Age 82, died peacefully Tuesday, April 10, 2001 at her home. She was bo rn November 12, 1918 in Wrightstown, daughter of the late August and Johan na (Lorenz) Nytes. On April 17, 1941 Mert married Jerome Haen at St. Franc is Catholic Church in Hollandtown. They enjoyed 50 years of marriage toget her prior to his death in 1992. The couple resided in Hollandtown their en tire married lives, having farmed and later co-founding Star Orchards, whi ch they operated. Mert belonged to numerous art groups such as the Kaukau na Creative Arts Group, the Art Critique Group and the Appleton Galle ry of Arts. She was a longtime member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Holl andtown; where she was a member of the Mixed Choir and a past member of t he Altar Society. Survivors include her children and their spouses: Ray (E laine) Haen, Hollandtown; Betty (David) Kobussen, Kaukauna; Anna (Bob) Bri ck, Greenleaf; Linda (Howard) Drumm, Neenah; Paul (Linda) Haen, Hollandtow n; Barb (Terry) Huss, Kaukauna; Gloria (Patrick) Kennedy, Askeaton; Doug H ean, Hollandtown; Kim Haen (special friend, Laura Halder), Oshkosh; Darre ll (Sharon) Haen, Hollandtown; 35 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildre n, a brother and two sisters-in-law: Aloys (Edith) Nytes, Wrightstown; Col lette Nytes, Kaukauna; a sister and a brother-in-law: Clara Rademacher, Ho llandtown; Joe Mirsberger, St. John; numerous nieces and nephews. She is f urther survived by her husband's family: Sister St. Barbara Haen, Manitowo c; Eugene (Bernice) Haen, Hollandtown; Sister Ann Joachim Haen, Manitowo c; Ken (Joan) Haen, Van Dyne; Ivo (Carol) Haen, Crivitiz. Mert was preced ed in death by her husband, Jerome; a son, David; a son-in-law, Howa rd De Cleene; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Sister Rosemary Nyte s, Helen Mirsberger, Janet (Art) Bruecker, Allen Rademacher; a brother a nd sister-in-law: Herbert (Eleanor) Nytes and her in-laws: Earl (Marcell a) Fink. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2001 at St. Fr ancis Catholic Church, Hollandtown with Fr. Jim Lucas officiating. Buri al in the the parish cemetery.
