  Gary L. Janssen, age 64, of Kaukauna, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 25, 2016 at his home. He was born on September 14, 1951 in Appleton, son of the late Edward and Viola (Smith) Janssen. Gary worked for 38 years at the Kaukauna Street Department. He was an avid Packer and Badger fan and was also a mentor for the Boy Scout Program. Gary loved years of fishing in Canada with his buddies, trips to the casino, and lately visits from the neighborhood kids. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Gary is survived by his two sisters: Joanne Ganzyk and Linda (James) Fredericksen; brother Carl (Kathryn) Janssen; brother-in-law Marvin Dietzen; sisters-in-law: Phyllis Janssen and Karen Janssen; an aunt Virginia Gildernick; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Shirley Janssen, Marcia Dietzen, and Mary Janssen; brothers: James and Richard Janssen; and brother-in-law Gary Ganzyk. A memorial service for Gary will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, July 30, at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating.
