  Alvin Andrew Hoelzel, age 89. Born February 14, 1918, in Stockbridge, WI. Died July 24, 2007, in Boulder Junction, WI. Veteran of the United States Army Air Force 92nd Airborne Division 1941-1945. He worked as a carpenter/contractor, retiring in 1981. Alvin is survived by his wife of 63 years, Eleanor (Millis); ten children: Susan (Arnold) Enz, Sally (John) Wiberg, Joseph (Maureen), John (Nancy), Jerome (Karey), James (Donna), Jan (Darla), Steven (Laurie), and Stuart (Patricia); 21 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Reuben and Francis; and a sister, Rosemary (Ortlieb). He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary (Giesen) Hoelzel; siblings: Gilbert, Arthur, Edward, and Alice (Colovich); and his great-grandchild, Emerson Enz. There will be a private memorial at a later date.
