    Obituary:
    Dorothy May Theresa Hildeman "Dot"
Dorothy was born on the family farm in the Town of Buchanan on February 6, 1929, the 4th of 5 children to Antoinette VanderWielen and Frank Klein.
She was extremely proud, as was her whole family, that she got her Bachelor's Degree in Education and Human Services at 61 years of age from the University of Oshkosh and then worked as a social worker for Harbor House of Appleton. She then established a scholarship for victims of domestic abuse.
Dorothy loved life and lived it to the fullest. She not only taught her daughter and son how to camp and golf, but many of her nieces and nephews. Dorothy cherished the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dorothy loved to play golf, go canoeing, go on hikes, play cards and read. She was an avid Packer fan and loved to attend golf tournaments and watch them on TV. She also loved traveling to Panama City Beach Florida in the winter, until macular degeneration took some of those pleasures away from her.
Dorothy is survived by a daughter and son-in-law: Tootie & Tom Skibba and their children and grandchildren: Cheri (Lowell) Beede, Kaitlyn, Evan and Alexis Beede; Amy (David) Wittig and Zachary. A son and daughter-in-law: Dr. David & Becky Hildeman and their child, Matthew. Almost daughter Lynn (Rob) Billings and her godson, Shane Winters. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Many dear friends, especially Jan Porter and her husband Don, Ann Landwehr, CC (Dell) Cross, Ronnie Moore and her sister Bev (Bonnie), Karen Swiecichowski, the rest of her card playing friends too numerous to mention and the Ladies of the Red Hat Society. She is further survived by her friends from Mayflower Lake and her friends from Panama City Beach, Florida.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her daughter Diane, her parents Antoinette and Frank, her brother and sister-in-law Francis & Mouse Klein, sister and brother-in-law Elaine & Jack Metcher, twin brother Donald and sister and brother-in-law Darline and Dick Young, and nephews David Young and Scott Klein.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, August 24, 2013, at Martens-Laemmrich Funeral Home, 312 Milwaukee Street, Menasha, with Deacon Don Schultz officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until the hour of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Harbor House of Appleton, WI.
Mom, you fought so hard your whole life and especially at the end. You are the strongest, bravest person we've ever known. Thanks for all the wonderful memories, we'll cherish them and miss you forever.
Thank you for the loving and caring support she received from Dr. Lee Vogel and the staff at Rennes.
