Lois Tieskoetter Lois Tieskoetter, 40, of rural Castalia died Dec. 21, 1991, in Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital, Decorah, after a short illness. Services were held Dec. 24, 1991, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Ossian. Rev. Richard Kuhn officiated. The organist was Debbie Scheidel, and special music during the funeral mass was provided by the adult choir of St. Francis de Sales and the Community Singers. Burial was in St. Francis cemetery. Lois Tieskoetter was born Oct. 21, 1951, the daughter of Leo and Veronica (Schneberger) Luzum. She graduated from South Winneshiek High School in Calmar. On Aug. 14, 1971 she married James Tieskoetter at Our Lady of Seven Dolors in Festina. They made their home on a farm north of Castalia, where they had four daughters and one son. She was a member of the St. Francis de Sales Church, Ossian, a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, St. Francis Rosary Society, the adult choir, and the Community Singers. Preceding her in death were her parents. She is survived by her husband, James; four daughters, Jennifer of Rochester, MN, and Jamie, Jaclyn and Jill, all at home; a son, Lance; three sisters, Donna Ohl of Strawberry Point, Lynn Luzum of Houston, and Darlene Hoffland of Decorah; and five brothers, Dennis, Daniel and Loren Luzum, all of Decorah, Linus Luzum of Calmar, and David Luzum of Festina.
