  Margery J. Stilp, 86, Appleton, died Friday, Dec. 9, 2011, at Saint Camillus in Wauwatosa. Marge was born in Racine, on Oct. 25, 1925, to the late Anton and Julia (Belak) Sinsky. She graduated from St. Catherine's High School and from Marquette University in 1947. On Aug. 16, 1947, she was united in marriage to William W. "Bill" Stilp in Racine. The couple enjoyed 62 years together until his death in 2010. Marge was a devoted wife and mother, a proud grandmother and great-grandmother. Her passions included bridge clubs, golf and running. Marge was a medalist in several Milwaukee Al's Runs. She belonged to Sokol (a Slovak ladies organization) and Catholic Daughters. She volunteered at Appleton Medical Center, Appleton Blood Center, St. Therese and St. Joe's Parishes and Meals on Wheels. She is survived by five children, Susan (Jeffrey) Becherer, Wauwatosa; John (Carol), Wausau; Thomas (Marguerite Gallagher), Brookfield; Paul (Lori Timan), Alexandria, Va.; and Kate (Chris) Zale, Indianapolis, Ind.; 13 grandchildren, Sarah (Patrick) Birmingham, Joseph (Mary) Becherer, Elizabeth (Andrew) Fleming, Kathryn (Steve) Koutnik, Julia Becherer, Alex Becherer, Samantha Stilp, Taylor Stilp, MacKenzie Stilp, Daniel Morelli, Erik (Erin) Stilp, Gina (Michael Hayes) Stilp and Mark (Lindsey Anna) Stilp; eight great-grandchildren, Ben, Dan, John and George Birmingham, Annie and Elizabeth Becherer, Charlotte Fleming and Tommy Stilp; a brother, John Sinsky, Milwaukee; and a sister, Irene Lewis, Racine. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. William Stilp; her eldest daughter, Sarah Stilp; and her parents. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 414 W. Lawrence St., Appleton, on Tuesday, Dec. 13, at 3 p.m. with Father David Funk, OFM CAP officiating. Friends may call directly at church on Tuesday from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place at St. Mary Cemetery, Menasha. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated for the Appleton Blood Center, St. Camillus in Wauwatosa, or the Alzheimer's Association .
