  Sherry Lynn Swanningson (nee Sweetalla) age 40, passed peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday August 24, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, after a 2 plus years battle with cancer. She was born on October 10, 1970 daughter of Gary and Madlyn (Buck) Sweetalla. Sherry enjoyed swimming, spending time at her cottage in Iola with family, playing games, shopping with her mom, and sharing memories and time with family and friends. She was employed at VVH and Associates as an accountant. Sherry thoroughly enjoyed her work and her work family. She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Anthony (Tony), a son, Corey (special friend Taylor Paveletzke), at home, a daughter, Kayla, at home; her parents, Gary and Madlyn (Buck) Sweetalla; a brother, Brian (Kenlynn) Sweetalla; in-laws: Roger and Evon (Van De Hey) Swanningson; sister-in-law, Kristi (Mark) Bobber; nieces and nephews: Stephanie and Stacy Sweetalla; Jordan Bobber and her Godson, Grayson Bobber; her Goddaughter, Jenn (Joe) Zirbel; Dan Fuhrmann; her Goddaughter, Nicole Fuhrmann; Eric Fuhrmann: great nieces and nephew: her Goddaughter, Paige Fuhrmann, Alexandreiah Dionne, and Hunter Zirbel. She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Leta Buck and paternal grandparents: Claude and Irma Sweetalla A Memorial Service for Sherry will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church on Meade St. in Appleton, Wisconsin with Pastor Kurt Hoffman officiating. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, August 29, 2011 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church and again on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. A short parish prayer service will conclude the evening at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. In lieu of flowers a fund has been established for the family. Special thanks to VVH and Associates, the entire staff of Fox Valley Hematology and Oncology and the staff on 4 West Medical/ Oncology wing at St. E's.
