  Coenen, Agnes K. Nee Vanek, S t. Paul Manor of Kaukauna, Formerly of Park Avenue, Little ChuteAgnes, loving wife, giving and nurturing mother and grandmother went ho me to her loving Lord’s arms with her family at her side on the morni ng of February 28, 2003, at the age of 85. She was born April 19, 1917, da ughter of the late Matthew and Barbara (Lang) Vanek. She was united in Ho ly Matrimony on June 22nd, 1944, to the late Lambert Coenen, her longti me love of her life for over 55 years. Agnes was a member of the Ladies Am erican Legion Auxiliary for more than 50 years. Agnes pursued many differe nt occupations in her early years until she found her true happiness, bei ng a wife, mother and grandmother. She took pleasure in baking, cooking, c anning and making clothes and special quilts for her family. On any Saturd ay evening you could be sure to have hot breads, biscuits, and cinnamon ro lls She also enjoyed gardening with Lambert and always sharing the produ ce with others. Agnes was the loving mother who was always there when we w ould walk in the door after school each day. Her spiritual and habitual ki ndness was always there to lend you a helping hand when you were in nee d. Above all else, Agnes was a very spiritual lady.Agnes is survived by three daughters: Karen (William) Deeg, Menasha; Jani ce (David) Balck, Menasha; Nancy (Brian) Luther, Menasha; two sons, Duai ne Coenen, Little Chute; David (Jean) Coenen, Kimberly; a daughter-in-la w, Julie Coenen, Appleton; 11 grandchildren: Craig, Cheri, and Ryan Dee g; Shannon and Ashley Huelsbeck; April Wagner, Mollie, Noelle and Justin C oenen; Matthew and Corey Coenen; six step-grandchildren: Jessica and Saman tha Luther, Scott (Carol) Balck, Erin (Chad) Sobczak, April and Alyson Bal ck; two step-great grandchildren, Hana and Raigen; three sisters: Martha ( Norbert) Konopa, Marshfield; Marie (Ben) Zellner, Wisconsin Rapids; Sist er Barbarine, Chicago; two brothers-in-law:Damian (Loretta) Coenen, Auburn dale and Simon (Angie) Coenen, Rudolph; many nieces, nephews, friends a nd especially her many special friends at St. Paul Manor.Agnes has made her new home in the heavens with God’s Eternal Endearment a nd her loving husband, Lambert and second son, Clifford, whom are ba ck at her side. Agnes is also preceded in death by her parents, Matthew a nd Barbara Vanek, maternal parents, Theodore and Anna Van Den Wildenber g; two sisters: Helen and Ann; also many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-la w.Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2003 at St. Jo hn Nepomucene Catholic Church with Reverend Msgr. James Vanden Hogen offic iating. Interment will be n St. John Cemetery. Friends may call at the chu rch from 1:30 p.m. Tuesday until the time of the mass. In lieu of flower s, a memorial is being established.The family wishes to thank Msgr. James Vanden Hogen for his care and spiri tual guidance given to Agnes and the family and also to her friends and st aff at St. Paul Manor for the wonderful years she spent with them. Our hea rtfelt thanks to Dr. Logan and the 4th floor staff of St. Elizabeth Hospit al, especially the loving caregivers of the Subacute Care Unit at the hosp ital.
